	Mr. Deep Bajwa Deep is an innovative, forward-thinking executive with over eight years of experience in the insurance, health and executive management industries. His consultative leadership style has inspired local and national teams of sales and marketing executives to achieve outstanding results. Deep continues to build his expertise in strategic planning and execution, team leadership, sales operations, business development, marketing, profit and loss reporting (P&L) and financial strategies. Due to his extensive exposure in the insurance industry on a national scale, Deep’s understanding extends to various markets across the country, including addressing their unique challenges. As the Director of Sales & Business Development with Best Doctors Insurance Canada Services Inc. (BDCIS). Deep oversees the Canadian sales and marketing executives in 10 provinces and 3 territories. He is directly responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all lines of business, including executive group benefits (EGB), employee benefits (EB) and ensuring alignment of International Private Health Insurance (IPMI) products and services with Canadian executives’ specific requirements. Since joining BDCIS in January 2018, Deep has managed several business initiatives across group health benefits (i.e. Group Health Insurance, Preventative Health Assessments and Wellness Programs, and Market Development). Deep led the product development team, in association with Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal and Marketing teams, and successfully launched a new product focused on corporate executive health solutions for Canadian locals. He also negotiated a new cover holder agreement with Lloyd’s of London, which positively influenced the bottom line of the Canadian book of business. His extensive knowledge of the group benefit space and distribution avenues created exceptional solutions for Canadian clients while increasing BDCIS’ credibility and visibility across the country. Prior to joining BDCIS, Deep managed the largest Canadian territory for Sun Life Financial with 55 fully commissioned Financial Advisors responsible for 59,000 health and life insurance clients and $860M in investments. An analytical thinker and calculated risk taker, Deep concentrated his efforts on group health insurance. He successfully led the EB, investment and individual insurance teams through the training, development and recruiting processes to increase the territory’s overall performance. Deep also led key initiatives, such as conventions and sales incentives, while aligning their success alongside new compliance regulations. He initially started his own firm with Sun Life Financial; by setting and achieving aggressive goals, he secured high net worth clients, and had a successful exit. Deep completed a Bachelor of Arts (English and Cultural Studies) from McMaster University in addition to multiple industry designations. Deep continues to hold an insurance license to conduct business in eight provinces and two territories across Canada. He is an active member of the Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (CAILBA) and the Canadian Group Insurance Brokers (CGIB) and Advocis. He models ongoing professional growth and development to teams he leads and mentors. Deep is committed to completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in the near future.
